Merce Cunningham Studio is available for performances after

8 PM Monday through Friday and after 6:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Hourly rehearsals are subject to availability. The Studio offers a 15% discount on these rates for rentals by students enrolled in its International Program and Professional Training Program.

The Studio Performance Program at the Merce Cunningham Studio makes professional performing opportunities possible at a reasonable cost. The fully equipped performing space and technical support are available year round at low rental rates subsidized by Cunningham Dance Foundation.

Renters have the use of both studios on performance nights, the dressing rooms, lighting and sound systems, as well as the professional support of the Studio Technical Director. A camera-ready logo will be provided by the Cunningham Dance Foundation to be used to announce all performances.

Large Studio $35/hour

Small Studio $20/hour

Studio Rental

A non-refundable deposit of $350 will be required to secure the space and must be received within 2 weeks of verbal reservation.

Performance Rentals:

Performance Nights $400/night

Technical Rehearsals $250/four hrs. (two tech nights required)

Overtime after Midnight $75/hr (no rehearsal shall exceed 1 AM)

Projector Rental $75/performance night

Informal Performance $400/night (use of rep plot lighting and sound system; may only be scheduled one month in advance or at the discretion of the Studio Technical Director)

Open Rehearsal (sound system only; no lighting available)

Large Studio $50/hr (Less than 25 people by invitation; no publicity)
